This Saturday, it's Episode #94 of Go-To Grandma!

I know the Millennials think they invented brunching, with their avocado toast and their soy milk lattes, but we were brunching before brunching was cool, and now, with the help of my friend and cookbook author @charmaine_broughton , we’re taking it up a grand notch. Charmaine’s going to share some brunchtastic recipes we can share with our grandkids for those Saturday night, Sunday morning sleepover dates.

After the grandkids go back home, what better way to spend the afternoon than to dive into the latest @linwoodbarclay novel, The Lie Maker. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Linwood and having him on my show before, but this is his debut appearance as a grandad. Can't wait to see if he will be working in a superspy grandad, with maybe a nosy grandma neighbour, into his future works. He’s going to tell us all about this book, plus how he churns out book after fantastic book.

Maybe your kids, or even your grandkids are those brunch eating Millennials, and maybe they’re looking at buying their first homes. Today on our Take 5 With @rbc interview, we’ll hear all about their new First Home Savings Account, which in today’s housing market, is an important step in crossing their first threshold.

Here’s a truth…I don’t like avocados, but hey, all the more for my kids and my grandkids, who love them.

Coming right at you this morning!

Taking a break from real life Grandma Duty to do some Grandma Radio. Happy to be in my own little closed door studio, but grateful for the respect I get for (still)wearing a mask in the hallways as I protect our 7 day old granddaughter.

Recording two Go-To Grandma shows in one today (Episodes 94 and 95) as the aforementioned girl (Sloane Isobel) chose one week ago this morning to make her grand appearance. Thanks to guests who quickly rearranged their schedules for us.

Mom, Dad, brothers and new baby all doing so well in their new world of a family of five. And I can’t wait to get back to them this afternoon.

As usual, Go-To Grandma airs Saturday mornings at 7:30am on @zoomer_radio and is available on the podcast anytime.

Does three grandchildren mean Season 3 of the show? Stay tuned.

I love the way this pic turned out.

I’ve been doing @sydneycummings_ workouts for over three years, every day (give or take a day or three) online, at home, in hotel gyms, in hotel rooms, at Air BNBs (like here, in the basement of one) at my cottage, at friends cottages (where I sometimes force them to join me). I used to be a gym rat. Loved working out at the gym, in classes, in the weight room, sometimes with a trainer, and never thought I’d like working out at home. But I love it, which is good as lockdown hit and we had no choice. I have the choice now, but I’m sticking with the at home workout for now.

Why am I talking about this? Because if this 60 year old grandma of 3 can stick to a workout, well, just give Sydney’s workouts a try. I know I’ve gotten quite a few friends on board. And if you’re going to be a grandparent anytime soon, trust me you’re going to need the training.

You’ll need a few weights, (I’m using adjustable ones here) maybe a cordless skipping rope, sliders, resistance bands, a mat…and some water.
It’s addictive. I do her workouts 6 days a week and her stretch on the 7th day. Her workouts are typically 30-40 mins but she has some 50-60 min ones as well. (I also run and/or bike 3-4 times a week but that’s because I’m a weirdo)

It is the reason I can keep up with my 3 grandkids. Okay the five day old doesn’t move much yet.
