Made it! The @titanicbelfast is an incredible experience. There’s a ride. There are personal stories. The scale is incredible. The outdoor shot here is exactly where it launched from, as shown in the model in the next picture. So glad to get here. It’s eerie and amazing.

An 8 course meal at @themuddlersclubbelfast tonight. I took some pics of the food but they don’t do them justice. This is a tasting menu experience only and I added the wine pairings and it was honestly one of the best food experiences I’ve had. Down a dark alley, hard to find but easy to love. Highly recommend.

Funny note. Because I was on my own they asked if I would like a book to read. I said sure. But of course I had brought one anyway.

I noticed the dye on some of the sheep. I wasn’t ready for the explanation.

Rams are expensive and pedigree for lamb’s meat is important. Apparently the rams “chest” is soaked in dye. And then, as he goes about his day, the farmer can tell which ones “visited” which eww. This first wee gal got around.

The cave where Melisandre, the Red Witch, gave birth to a shadowy baby. Or so I’m told as I don’t actually watch #gameofthrones But this is the place. Pretty cool mud caves about 400 million years old.

“Are you horsey?” Was the first question I was asked at @crindlestables today. No. No I am not. Not really an animal person actually. But I have ridden a few horses in my time, but not for years. But with Amy’s patience in training me and Hannah’s leading me down the beach, I felt a bit horsey. Gorgeous trail ride down the beach. I even trotted. Okay my horse Daisy did. A few times. She’s half Irish Cobb and half Clydesdale. Such a great mix.

Highly recommend. They do such good work at the stables with beginners like me, experts like Hannah and with the disability community as well. Such an amazing experience.

It’s almost impossible to capture the scale of The Giants Causeway but I’m trying. So many myths about how this happened (factually it’s hardened lava) but I like the Fionn McCool stories better.

Today has been another terrific day heading down the coast of Northern Ireland, from Derry down to Ballycastle. And on the way, a highlight when we stopped for lunch at the @bushmillsinn where they had graciously put up the Canadian flag…for me! It is their custom to do so for the furthest travelled guest. Beautiful lunch and tour of the property, which includes a terrific 30 seat cinema and where they will be showing holiday movies in all of December. What a treat.

Just me or is the Titanic Gift Shop a teeny bit ghoulish? I couldn’t buy anything from there. Not even the fake necklace or kids’ Titanic writing set. 🤷‍♀️
